Dar es Salaam port is the primary Tanzanian port with a rated capacity of 4.1 million Tons of dry cargo and 6.0 million Tons of bulk liquid cargo. Quay length of the port is about 2,600 meters with eleven deep-water berths. The port handles about 95% of the Tanzania international trade. The Dar es Salaam port serves the landlocked countries of Malawi, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

Every year over Two Million tons of bulk cargo such as Fertilizers, Clinker and Wheat Grains are imported into Tanzania through the Dar Es Salaam Port.
